The Martinez '51 Series' Acoustic-Electric Short Scale Guitar Koa (Gloss) is a fantastic smaller-bodied acoustic, ideal for travelling musicians or players wanting the added comfort of a compact guitar without having to sacrifice tone.

Koa is a dense and beautiful tone wood. All '51 Series' instruments feature a gloss finish offering durability and highlighting the grain and colour of the timber. With a 23.5" scale and 'Mini' body shape with arched back, which delivers incredible warmth and resonance for an acoustic of its size.

Perfect for drop F/E (with higher gauge strings)

I was after a cheap baritone for drop F/E tuning, and with an 80 gauge string this does the job! The electronics can be a little bit noisy but I'm also comparing it to a guitar with a single pickup worth almost as much as this guitar. For the price, this seems to be the best baritone on the market!
This is also my first guitar with a floating bridge, I was worried it would need to be blocked but it's all working great!

I've replaced the tuning machine heads with musiclily locking ones from Amazon (approx 40aud) and do not have any issues with that modification either - highly recommend doing it!
