From Gibson 1998/99 production run, these limited-edition double-cut Standards were offered in a range of strikingly named finishes, including Green Jalapeno, Black Pepper, and the eye-catching Red Hot Tamale featured here. With a two-knob control layout, 24 frets, and 490R/498T humbuckers, these guitars delivered both style and performance. In 1999, the model was renamed the Les Paul Standard Lite.

Guitar Condition and Features:

• Playability: Low action and easy playability, with minimal fret wear.
• Electronics: All electronics have been tested and are fully functional. The bridge pickup has been upgraded to a Gibson 498T, matching the original specifications. This upgrade was necessary as the previous owner had swapped out the original pickup and misplaced it.
• Cosmetic Condition:
  • Marks and chips to the finish, (See Photos).
  • Finish crazing on the face of the headstock has been stabilized and re-lacquered. (See Photos)
  • A finish mark/chip on the neck has been filled and re-lacquered. (See Photos)
• Repairs and Maintenance:
  • All finish work professionally handled by a Brisbane-based luthier.
