Description

Boasting a sleek and slender design, the AGS83BBG showcases a mid-sized semi-hollow body structure. Its top is crafted from arched laminated bubinga with elegant ƒ holes, while the bubinga back and sides feature ivory multi-binding. Equipped with a single Venetian cutaway, this guitar seamlessly merges with a set-in mahogany neck. The neck boasts a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard adorned with black binding and abalone Artcore DX position markers. Notably, the neck joint is positioned at the 17th fret, enhancing accessibility to the upper frets.

The AGS83BBG is equipped with a range of high-quality components. It features a duo of Ibanez Artcore humbucking pickups concealed by cosmo black covers, along with individual volume and tone controls. The guitar also incorporates a Tune-o-matic style bridge, a Quik Change tailpiece, a plastic nut, speed knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines.

Combining elements from the AG75 and AS73 models, the AGS83BBG marries the single-cutaway body of the former with the semi-hollow construction of the latter. For those seeking a different aesthetic, the AGS83B offers a comparable model with a flamed maple body.

Regrettably, production of the AGS83BBG was discontinued after 2009, adding a touch of rarity to this impressive instrument.
