Description

The Ibanez introduced a revised version of the S521 guitar model in 2014, which is manufactured in Indonesia. This guitar showcases several notable features. It boasts a body constructed from mahogany, securely attached to a maple Wizard III neck. The neck houses a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard adorned with offset dot position markers. Other key components of this guitar include dual Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups, a fixed bridge, a plastic nut, and Ibanez tuners.

In subsequent years, the S521 underwent some modifications. In 2018, Ibanez made a change by replacing the rosewood fretboard with jatoba. Moving forward to 2019, the mahogany body was substituted with meranti, altering the tonal characteristics of the guitar. Then, in 2020, Ibanez implemented another update, replacing the bridge with the F106 model, enhancing the overall performance and stability of the instrument. Finally, in 2021, the fretboard was reverted to rosewood, reintroducing its classic feel and tonal qualities to the S521 model.
